You need to have a goal

having a GoalLet me simply start out by saying that the most important thing you should have in your life are goals. I have goals for the different aspects of my life. I have goals for the business, finance, relationship (even to be in one), health and wealth. This list can go on forever. When you have a goal. This gives you a direction and purpose every day. Making you a better person with continued growth. If you have your own business, you know that for your business to grow, you have to grow as a person.

Writing your goal a Step By Step mini Workshop

Most everybody has a hard time just starting their goal. Well, I’m going to show you how to do this in a step by step process. Now before you get started to set some quiet time aside and find a place will you won’t get interrupted.

Oh yeah, try to remember what its like to be a kid. Remember those days. The long hot summers, riding bikes, going to the local store in the neighborhood grabbing a soda, hanging out in the park with your friends. Finding a swimming pool and just relaxing. Well, you and I are going back to those days to get your goals done.

OK let’s get started.

  1. Find a least 1 hour of your free time.
  2. Find a quiet place. A room, the beach, out on the deck, mountainside (with a view of course). I think you get the idea.
  3. Grab your favorite drink and snack.
  4. Get a pad of paper and a pen or your computer if you prefer.
  5. Relax while doing this.
  6. Remember what it’s like to be a kid. OK if your a kid and reading this, your all set.
  7. Write down your one year and five-year goals, lots of them.
  8. Read your goals every day.

Staying motivated while working on your goal

Staying Movtivated on your GoalNow that you have your goals and write them down. How do you stay motivated? Let’s face it. Even a 6-month goal is a long time, never mind the 1 or even 5-year goals. One of the best ways I know to do this is to read books and watch motivational videos. I like to spend at least 30 minutes a day reading and another 30 minutes watching motivational videos.

Let’s start with the videos. Where do I find motivational videos? The easy answer is YouTube. Heck, these are free and there’s plenty of them. Go to YouTube and in the search box at the top just type in “motivational video”. Start watching.

OK, if you’re not really into the video scene, books are more your speed. Well, let’s find some books for you right now. I like to always keep things simple. Go to google and enter “motivational books”. Right on the first page are some great choices.

Not sure who I should follow?

Well, I want to give you some of the people I find very inspirational to me. By no means should you feel you need to follow the same ones? This is a place to start and if you find yourself gravitating to others, by all means, do so. Everyone has and will take a different path on the fabulous journey in personal growth.

Without any further ado, Let’s get started.

Bob Proctor is one of the biggest motivational speakers today. He focuses a lot on the subconscious mind and goal setting. He talks about creating a paradigm shift. This is when you impress your subconscious with positive ideas to replace the negative ones that have been with you your whole life. He is currently doing events around this topic. Oh yeah, the other thing is he’s been doing this for 57 years. He has lots of videos on YouTube. He has many books out. One of his latest books is called The ABC’s of Success.

Another one of my favorites is Tony Robbins. Probably the biggest and most famous speaker today. He has a huge following on any of the social media websites. Tons of videos on YouTube. The latest book he has written is Awaken the Giant Within. I personally haven’t had a chance to read this book yet, but I will.

Jim Rohn also has excellent material. If you are in sales whether that’s online or a storefront. You should give him a listen. Again lots of videos on YouTube. If you want to read any of his books I suggest 7 Strategies for Wealth & Happiness.

Someone that comes very close to the same style as Jim Rohn, is Zig Ziglar. Again if you are into sales, check him out. His concepts are still very powerful even in today’s world. Lots of videos on YouTube and one of his best books is Secrets of Closing the Sale.

OK, I’m going to give you one more, then I must stop. I could be here all day. Well, let’s talk about Mel Robbins. She gets very personal in her speeches about the things she has gone through in her life. A lawyer worked at CNN, it’s just amazing to hear what she went through. Again lots of videos on YouTube and her book she has out now is called The 5 Second Rule. And no this isn’t the case will you drop food and wonder if you can still pick it up to eat it. You will have to read the book to find out.

Accountability Partners Help Keep You Committed to Your Goal

Accountability PartnersHaving goals are one of the most valuable components in your life. Whether it’s for goals you set in your business, health, wealth or just about anything. With my long-term goals 6 months to a year, I have smaller goals that help me to achieve the long-term goal. They are the foundation and legs that support my long-term goal.

I’m not sure about you, but when you first start to think about the long-term goal, you get all fired up and that can do attitude, shall we say is out of control.


It’s hard to take this energy and stay motivated and keep moving forward. Let’s face it 6 months is a long time.

Stick to Your GoalI think it’s always important to have some goals in your life. Whether that’s for your business, relationships, health and wealth. So with that being said…

When you first sit down and think about your goals. We’ll get supercharged, rip ready to go, and want to knock it out of the park. OK, you are excited, I get it. Me too. But as the days pass the charge, spark whatever you want to call it starts to diminish. You start losing focus of what’s important.

Let’s face it, you, me, practically all of us have trouble sticking to our goal. Well, I have found a solution for you. There is an awesome website that will make you stick to that goal in very unique ways. Watch this video to find out more.
